Hello Debarge family,
I'm happy to hear all is well, keep on keeping on. God has blessed you with so much talent and strength.
Please perform in Washington D.C.
Love you all
I loved your book it was very inspirational, after reading it I felt so very much apart of your family. Mama be blessed, remember God doeth all things well, behind evry dark cloud there is a silver lining, weeping may endureth for a night, but joy cometh in the morning
Grateful to find a website dedicated by this woman of God who managed to hold a family together and remain true to the Lord's call. God Bless you and I hope you will consider coming and speaking to others who would be inspired by your story. The ministry is moving and we must move with it~ Amen
I just wanted to say that your website is very insiteful. Mama DeBarge, I am sure it is because of you and your strong believe in God that your family has survived and will continue to survive. You are the rock of your family. Your family is so fortunate to have you. You remind me of the saying "what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger"!
I watched the BET music award ....and I must say "El...OMG!" I am a 43 year old women who had forgotten about the music that you use to sing. I grew up listening to your music. I am so happy that you are making a come back. I can't WAIT to get your cd. I have rewinded the bet music awards program so much and sung it so much, that I became horse this weekend. I love all you guys very much. Keep doing what you do best!
My dear, I am happy that I found this website. I wondered for a long time about what happened to the Debarge family. I understood some things after watching the show, Unsung. I am so happy to know that you and your family are well. I watched the BET awards show and was so pleased to see El. I am so sad that Michael Jackson is no longer here, because some of his songs brought beautiful memories. When I heard El sing it put me in such a wonderful place and brought back memories from the 80's. Thank God for music. Music has a way of touching your spirit. I hope one day to see your family sing together. El, I think your new song, second chance speaks to us all. My dear, I know when a family is or has gone through, but is'nt it wonderful just knowing that God is always there to embrass us. My family is going through a terrible time in our lives, but music seems to comfort something within for me. Keep singing those beautiful songs El, because when you sing it takes me to a place in my mind that makes me feel as though I have no worries. Thank you for you!
Hey Mom.
This is my first time writing you. First, and foremost, my name is John. I'm hornored to make aquaintance with you, and your family. I'm the youngest out of 11. I'm originally from Gary, Indiana. That's also where i used to sing professionally with the group my brother Paul, and I started called Unity back in "77. Thanksgiving night of "78 we won the talent show. We sang "I wanna be closer.", and "They'll never be." For me personally, wining that talent show was a moral victory. You see Mam, I was over weight, and was picked on alot. When my brother Paul , and i Heard "They'll never be." We were blown away. We never heard anything that tight musically in a long time , and he wanted us to perform that at the talent show. I was petriffied, and scared to be ridiculed on the stage. I didn't want to fail him, and i loved that song. Well, Thanksgiving night we hit the stage, and won it all. That was a defining moment in my life. It gave me confidence that still effects me in so many positive ways till this very day. I've been married over 20 years. I'm a Father of 2 wonderful children that's become amazing parents to their own. And I'm a Grandfather of 3, and a Great of 1. I know i'm too late to say thank you Bobby. He's with my Lord, chillin', and kicking back in glory. So, I want to thank you for you son's beautiful song that gave me the courage to face my fears, and overcome them. May God bless you all.
With love, and sincerety,
John Fitzgerald Robinson
